My wife, Mara, and I (Harry), reside in the beautiful town of George, in the heart of the Garden Route of South Africa. Since moving here in 2020, the extreme poverty that those living in the surrounding informal settlements face, touched our hearts deeply.
Guided by a long-standing compassion for the poor and those in need and inspired by a word from the Lord years ago that we would one day have a charity “Arms of Love,” we knew the time had come. In October 2021, we saw the fulfilment of that word, when we established our NGO, Arms of Love. It is from this place that we can bring support and care to the precious people of these communities.
With Pastor Dan Mohler’s blessing and support, it is our aim, that via this channel we will be able to raise funds to support the people living in these harsh circumstances. The generosity and kindness of everyone who has contributed is humbling and the kindness shown to strangers such a blessing and a reminder of God’s faithfulness to the call of so long ago.
Building trust and fostering transparency with our donors remains one of our core values. By God’s grace, we are personally blessed with financial security, which allows us to honour our commitment to our donors. We can confidently assure you that 100% of all donations go directly to supporting those in need.
This support has enabled us to achieve remarkable progress and together with yourselves, we have built four soup kitchens, providing approximately 3200 meals weekly, primarily to the children, aged and disabled of the communities. Additionally, we are so humbled to be a part of an Early Childhood Development Centre, where young minds are nurtured and cared for. The crèche’s kitchen—generously donated by a major South African bank, ensures that the 57 pre-school children attending the centre along with some of the orphans in the community benefit from 2 nutritious meals a day.
Your continued support not only means the world to us, but in some instances IS THE WORLD to the children – THANK YOU!
